PTO Teacher Update & Upcoming Events
Hello RHL Teachers & Staff, Date: 9/1/2026
This school year sure snuck up on us! We are looking forward to the year ahead! On Thursday (9/10), please check your mailboxes for PTO Calendars for the 2026-2027 school year and additional information for what's to come between now and Winter Break. Our goal this year is to give you as much information in advance as possible. A few items to prepare you for the coming months:
-We need your help with running the Harvest Crawl during the Fall Carnival (10/16). Students look forward to seeing the classrooms decorated and teachers participating. Plus, a reminder that there are Scholastic Dollars up for grabs! We will have 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place in both Costume and Room Decorations. $125sd for 1st, $100sd for 2nd, and $75sd for 3rd. Scholastic Dollars can be used at the Winter Book Fair in December. Teachers in the main building that would like to take a break from participating, please send an email to the PTO ASAP. We will be offering your space to any of the teachers in the portables or longhouse. Start brainstorming now! We can't wait to see your ideas in action!
-Spirit Wear will run in three cycles on an online store this year. We've partnered with Uptown Screenprinting to help streamline our process. Spirit Wear should launch starting next week. We will also run a cycle in late October into November with delivery just before Winter break, and a last one in Spring featuring special colors, tie dyes, and a few other items were keeping secret for the moment. The popular blue tie dye shirt that sold out in one day last year, will be launching in the shop with this first cycle.
-The Holiday Bazaar will run the same as year's past. However, if a "class" is participating, it needs to be for a specific need or field trip for that class. An easy way to know if you qualify is if you have a "group" entity represented at the PTO meetings. Ex.) Outdoor School Students are fundraising to lower the cost of camp, Kinder is fundraising for their end of the year celebration/graduation, and The Outdoor Learning Space is fundraising for gardening supplies. If you have a need, we want to hear about it! We are going to do whatever we can to try and fulfill as many as possible. Lastly, students cannot make items for the bazaar during classtime, and they cannot be made as assignments expected to be done outside the classroom. This is supposed to be a fun experience where students, families, and vendors can sell items to spread a little holiday cheer. Thank you for understanding.
